Educating today’s students for lives of leadership 和 service requires mathematical proficiency. Our 数学 department is committed to helping FMS 学员 develop a taste for inquisitiveness, 原因, 和分析. Developing problem solving skills 和 learning how to be a critical thinker are fueled by mathematic intelligence. Small class sizes allow for one-on-one support to help each student overcome fears 和 resistance to tackling difficult material. The FMS math curriculum includes continuous SAT preparation 和 prepares students for college level work. Course advancement is based upon demonstrated content mastery.
This course provides basic math skills so students will be prepared to go on to 算术.
This course emphasizes the eight parts of speech, building of vocabulary, 和 involved sentence structure. Students are introduced to short theme composition 和 public speaking. A survey of literature includes selected novels 和 short stories.
代数我 covers the symbols 和 language of algebraic sentences. Students learn to work with rational numbers 和 polynomials. The study of equations is vital before graphing 和 基本的三角函数 are covered.
几何 involves the study of figures such as triangles, 平行四边形, 圈, 球体, 矩形, 平面和锥体. 几何 is more than a study of lines, angles 和 polygons. It is an exercise in thought 和 teaches a new way of logical thinking. (Prerequisite: 代数我.)

三角函数 may be offered as an alternative to 有关微积分的知识 和 Calculus depending on cadet needs. Prerequisites require demonstrated proficiency in Algebra-II or equivalent to be placed in this course. The course would begin with review of fundamental to advanced geometry 和 the related algebra with an emphasis on functions.
